Articles of Faith as adopted January 1 2024
Article 1
We believe in the only living and true God, and that there are three persons in the Godhead, the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost and these three are one.
Article 2
We believe the Scriptures of the Old and New Testament are the word of God and the only rule of faith and practice.
Article 3
We believe in the doctrine of Election that God chose his people in Christ before the foundation of the world that they should be holy and without blame before him in love; and that he freely and sincerely offers salvation to every person.
Article 4
We believe that sinners are justified in the sight of God only by the undeniable righteousness of Jesus Christ and his finish work on the cross.
Article 5
We believe that the saints shall persevere in grace and that they never will fall away.
Article 6
We believe that baptism and the Lord’s supper are ordinances instructed by Christ and that true believers are the only proper subjects thereof.
Article 7
We believe in baptism either by immersion and or sprinkling.
Article 8
We believe that no person has a right to administer the ordinances but such as are ordained ministers and qualified there unto.
Article 9
We believe in the resurrection of the dead and general Judgment that the punishment of the wicked and the joys of life of the righteous will both be eternal.
Article 10
According to our beliefs and understanding of the Word of God, homosexuality is not an acceptable alternate lifestyle, but an abomination and sin in the sight of God. We do not condone the practice of homosexuality or any other non-biblical life style and consider this practice incompatible with Christian teaching.
